Important Church Documents
All churches should obtain & retain the below documents.
All documents should also be sent to the district office,
Attn: Brian Kido, to be kept in a secure location,
especially if any changes were made.

1) Certificate of Incorporation
- New York Incorporation - Article 14
- New Jersey Incorporation - Title 16
- Connecticut Incorporation - Chapter 598
Note 1 : The "incorporated name" MUST be the same name as the "church name" on file with the District/General Church of the Nazarene. (Hint : Check the District Journal or Click HERE to see the list of Mission Area Churches).
Note 2 : If the church is not yet incorporated, please contact Brian Kido before proceeding.
2) EIN Tax ID Number
3) State Sales Tax Exempt Organization Certificate
4) Liability Insurance Policy
If the church owns property,
the below documents are also important.
5) Property Insurance Policy
6) Deed to Property
(including church, parsonage, apartments, land, etc...)
7) Property Tax Exemption Renewal Forms
