Meet Our Speaker:

Rev. Dr. Ivelisse Valentín is an Associate Professor of Theology and Associate Director of the Doctor of Theology (ThD) program at Northwest Nazarene University. She also serves as Senior Pastor of the Toa Baja Church of the Nazarene and the Christian Nazarene Academy in Puerto Rico.

With extensive experience in pastoral ministry and theological education, Dr. Valentín has served as a professor, preacher, chaplain, and ministry leader in Puerto Rico and the United States. Her previous roles include Director of Chaplaincy at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and Director of the Preaching Initiative at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

She earned her Doctor of Ministry from Drew University and is currently completing a PhD in Practical Theology. Her areas of ministry and scholarship include preaching, pastoral care, spiritual formation, chaplaincy, and engaging emerging generations.

Dr. Valentín is passionate about a Church that reflects the compassion and love of Christ while being a place of healing, hope, and transformation for every generation.

Overnight Lodging
Lodging is available before and after the Summit for those wishing to arrive Friday or depart Monday. Rooms are first-come, first-served and must be reserved and paid directly through Mirror Lake Retreat Center.
