Nazarene Youth International calls the youngest generations to a dynamic life in Christ in Metro New York.
NYI believes that young people are an integral part of the Church. NYI exists to lead young people into a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ and to facilitate their growth as disciples for loving and faithful service and cultural impact.
BE. DO. GO.
NYI focuses on three core strategies of evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development. We refer to this global strategy as “BE. DO. GO.”
We believe we are called to BE God’s light in the dark and ignored places of our world. We are to BE a faithful example of God’s unconditional love. In BEING in Christ and BEING with others, we allow the Holy Spirit to work through our lives, and we trust God with the results.
Through discipleship, we journey together with other believers as we follow in the footsteps of Jesus. As we DO life together, we learn what it means to talk together, serve together, sacrifice together, fall and get back up together. We DO the hard work of becoming more like our Savior and living surrendered lives in community.
We challenge and empower youth and their leaders to GO into their communities as models of Christ’s servant leadership. We cannot afford to wait until we think we know enough; we must GO now, learning along the way.
We muster all we have within us to reach, empower, and develop youth in the love of Christ. Whether it be through teen camps, leadership development groups, mentoring, and family support, we are fully present and all in for the young people in our sphere of influence.
