We used to call them budgets. Now we talk about funding the mission. Either way, it is money. Why do it?

Giving mirrors gracious dealings of God with us. A Christian or group of Christians (a church) that does not give away from themselves seems like a contradiction in terms.

Local church pastors encourage their congregation to give tithes and offerings. When the local church gives away from itself it is practicing the very thing it asks its people to do.

Our District Assembly guidance is for the local church to send 12% each month of the previous month tithe and offering directly to the District to be distributed for district and general church obligations. For each dollar we receive, ⅓ goes to the World Evangelism Fund (WEF), ⅓ helps fund District operations, and the remaining ⅓ is almost evenly divided between P&B and our regional college, Eastern Nazarene College.

We are part of something beyond our own local church congregations. Faithful, consistent, proportional giving connects us with the wider work of the church. Our giving supports active ministry (WEF, MM, ENC) and helps to give a small benefit to those ordained clergy who have retired.

There are two ways to give:
  1. Give quickly, easily and securely online by clicking HERE. Your budget payment will be automatically tracked to your local church account.
  2. Checks can be mailed to the District Office at 201 West Valley Stream Blvd, Valley Stream, NY 11580.

The blessing of Philippians 4:19, “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus” follows the generosity highlighted in the verses that proceed it.
